Il calcio sotto forma di complesso poligluconato presenta indiscutibili  vantaggi: aumenta la facilità di utilizzo del calcio, garantisce una ricca fonte  di energia metabolica che favorisce una crescita ottimale, aiuta a prevenire la  precipitazione del calcio e un abbassamento della durezza. Il poligluconato non  contiene azoto o fosforo. E’ dunque impossibile che in un acquario corallino  correttamente gestito si assista ad una proliferazione delle alghe unicellulari.  Reef Calcium può essere usato da solo per mantenere il livello del calcio. Usato  congiuntamente ad integratori di ioni calcio (Reef Complete, Reef Advantage Calcium)  ottimizza i livelli di crescita degli invertebrati. Reef Calcium è studiatro per  mantenere una giusta concentrazione del calcio.
